'A Quiet Place II' Gets a New Release Date
Paramount's latest post-apocalyptic thriller is being delayed for the third time now.
A Quiet Place II (2021) joins the growing list of victims that have been wounded by another round of cinematic delays as a result of the uncertainly swelling around the COVID-19 pandemic. The film, which was supposed to release last March, was pushed back after concerns surrounding the health crisis began to mount. Theater chain behemoths were wary of ticket sales, and wary of the liability of bringing in a populous of moviegoers.
With the pandemic creeping into its tenth month of having a stronghold over the United States, Hollywood tentpoles are left to postpone any upcoming blockbusters. Paramount has opted to utilize streaming services in the past when doubt was still cast on movie theater doors remaining open, or at least to allow a crowded theater. Andy Sorkin's Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) and Eddie Murphy-starring Coming 2 America (2021) have been shopped to Netflix and Amazon, though that isn't the case of A Quiet Place II.
A Quiet Place II is now expected to hit theaters on September 17, 2021.
