'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' Game to Return
Ubisoft Forward's event may host some exciting new announcements for their next slate of games available on multiplatform, but they're not limiting themselves to just introducing new names.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is set to return to the dead after 10 years, and will re-release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia sometime soon. The news was announced at Ubisoft's Forward event, showing off new footage from the arcade fighter in full action in its new "completed version."
Launching back in 2010 exclusively for the PS3, Xbox 360, and playable on PC, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game was released hand-in-hand with Edgar Wright's cinematic adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel. The two overlap in reputation, both earning low sales and high praise. It was confirmed by Wright that he would work with Ubisoft and game creator Byran Lee O'Malley to bring back the Scott Pilgrim-based game, and it seems that they've done it.
After years of fans' outcry, the pixelated beat-'em-up will return as a full version, including all of the game's DLC. Ubisoft says it’ll be available “holiday 2020.”
